He was formerly on staff at the Lehigh Valley Hospital where he served as a resident instructor of Craniofacial Pain and Dysfunction and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Glassman is a Diplomate of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Glassman served as clinical and resident instructor for the Lehigh Valley Hospital Network teaching craniofacial pain, joint dysfunction, chronic pain and dental sleep medicine. Dr. Glassman has been a speaker at the Academy of Pain Management, the International College of Craniomandibular Disorders, the Academy of Orofacial Pain, the Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the International Academy of Gnathology, the American Equilibration Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and many others including annual presentations at the British Dental Association. PA with neurologist, Dr. Robert Coni. Dr. Glassman was an adjunct lecturer for Tufts School of Dental Medicine’s Craniofacial Program.
Dr. Glassman taught two-day introductory courses and in house intensive weeklong courses for the general dentist in occlusion and parafunctional control, as well as sleep disorders for many years. The occlusion course also covered TMD diagnosis and treatment and pain management for the general dentist.
Dr. Glassman joined Dr. John Viviano in his course series in Toronto teaching Dental Sleep Medicine in a four day Mini-residency Dental Sleep Medicine Program. He taught his two-day TMD course there as well. The travel restrictions of Covid-19 altered those plans, and Dr. Glassman was then appointed the Director of Education for the International Academy of Sleep (2021-2022.). Dr. Glassman was charged with creating a full year “Diplomate” program in sleep. The year was extremely successful with his attendees truly learning to move from linear thinking to critical thinking. The safe learning environment that was intense and yet customized to each attendee’s needs over a full year proved to be incredibly successful. That model which includes four lives sessions a year, eight full day virtual sessions, literature access and reviews, literature presentations, and guest presentations from several leaders in their respective fields, proved to be an excellent formula. That model has now been duplicated in the two yearlong comprehensive courses, one in dental sleep medicine, and one in TMD and Orofacial Pain that you can learn about in our “Courses” section. Dr. Glassman has assembled a “Dream Team” faculty in both courses!

Educational Philosophy
For his dedication to education, Dr. Glassman has been awarded the prestigious Haden-Stack award, given by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
Adhering to an evidence-based philosophy, Dr. Glassman utilizes current educational theory which results in mastery of understanding over the simple concept of acquisition of knowledge in isolation. This approach greatly increases the likelihood of the attendee moving forward with implementation of the material with practical application in clinical practice. Dr. Glassman is currently on the editorial board of Cranio.
Despite retiring from active clinical practice, Dr. Glassman remains extremely active teaching, consulting in both clinical and practice model arenas, and actively writing. He is currently working on a book he is co-authoring with Dr. Micah Sadigh, a well known and published clinical psychologist, that proposes to expose the ills of the dental profession and the difficult environment created for dentists to maintain high standards and patient centered practices.
